The Taylor Spritz Launch Party!

Best night EVER!

A few weeks ago, I got bartender of the month at 2 Silos Brewery (part of Villagio Hospitality Group). I love my day job, but on the weekends, I always look forward to working in the restaurant.

As part of my award for being bartender of the month, I got to add my own cocktail to the menu for January. My mind immediately went to an Aperol Spritz - not only did our menu not have any prosecco or champagne, but we had no drink with any bubbles whatsoever. It was an issue! Customers were constantly asking me about bubbles, so I knew I had to capitalize on this opportunity even though it was winter.

I had been on quite a spritz kick despite it being 30 degrees outside, so I decided to give the traditional spritz a winter twist. With cranberry juice and fresh cranberries, I took the spritz to an even better level in my professional opinion.

Proceeds from the “Taylor Spritz” went to the Alzheimer’s Association in honor of my grandmother. I quickly realized my grandmother’s birthday fell on the first Friday of January - just a few days after my drink launched, so I decided to have a launch party to celebrate my grandmother and bring in the sales/rack up proceeds for the Alzheimer’s Association.

I think I’ll remember this night more than my wedding, genuinely. I was blown away. My entire family came (pictured below).

AND, my childhood friends/neighorhood family (CSG) came.

My friends from high school, college, and work friends came too (not pictured sadly). I felt and still feel beyond blessed to have such supportive people around me.

The Taylor Spritz represented far more than a drink to me, and I’m so grateful for the opportunity.
